Diverted

Forged in the shadows of a neon-drenched city, this cyberpunk robot blends the silent precision of Ghost in the Shell with the relentless brutality of The Terminator. Its sleek, matte-black frame hums with cyan energy veins, and beneath its visor, a neural-optic array tracks targets with surgical intent. Designed for both infiltration and annihilation, it moves with eerie grace—part machine, part memory—haunted by fragments of a past it was never meant to remember.

Technical Breakdown

The character was built using a remastered base mesh in Cinema 4D, where extensive remodeling was done to refine proportions, introduce hard-surface details, and integrate cybernetic enhancements. Particular attention was paid to paneling, joint articulation, and facial plating to convey both mechanical precision and anthropomorphic form.Texturing was accomplished procedurally using Octane Render, leveraging node-based materials to create layered surface effects such as brushed metal, emissive circuitry, and subtle wear. No UV unwrapping was required, allowing for a highly flexible and non-destructive workflow. Reflections, subsurface scattering, and emissive maps were all fine-tuned in Octane’s live viewport to achieve a cinematic, high-fidelity look.
